Day 2- Sparta to Columbia

Almost all roads were paved today so it was a little disappointing. But there were some challenges along the way.

Unfortunately for me an allergic reaction to some Tennessee pollen caused a very runny nose and much sneezing but most troubling my eyes started to swell.

While I eager hoped the ride would finsh so I could get some medicine (following the advice of my new Consigliere Rick), it started to rain so we had to park under some shelter or while.

When we really staring to get near the end we crossed a road with a creek running over it. Rick went first and almost lost in on the slick silt on the road where the creek went over it. I managed slightly better and literally slid by Rick as he spun and regained control.

But Matt slid out and we all rushed to help. Here was fine but one pannier came of and it took a bit to re attach.

We finally got to Columbia and I got my medicine it looks like I'll be OK, but the morning will be the test.
