Friday May 15th (Day 1 riding)

Woke up at 4am. Checked on GPS data transfer. Still hadn't worked. Tried again. Not successful.

Up at 6am. Packed everything back onto bike.

Filled up with fuel.

This is where the dirt started.

Back country amoungst some really underprivlidged areas.

Good proportion of dirt riding, but many paved roads.

Small run off into a ditch by Dave Rush.

'House' using two RV units from the back of pick ups. Empty beer bottles out the front.

Repairs by Dave Rush after his chainguard came loose.

Lunch at Lou's - ceiling fan - guys sitting around the table all working on their radios.

Beautiful streams and lush trees.

Strong storm near the end of the day.
Stopped at gas station shelter - burnt out - lots of drinks and spoiled food inside.

Heading down hill with water gushing across the road digging ruts, hard to see, narrow gorge / pass followed by narrow road with 100 ft drop on right hand side with no guard rail.

Fallen tree over the road.

Ditched camping plans and stayed in hotel.

Green leather sofa. Beer, battery and knee protection run.

Cashews - guys ate them all.

Pizza x 4
